How do I steer?
Drag anywhere on the screen. Your lantern follows your finger left and right. You do not need to hold it on the lantern itself.
What ends a run?
Your flame goes out when your oil runs out. Bumping into things costs you oil, and moths drink it while they cling to your lantern. When you run dry you get a couple of seconds of embers: grab a flask to rekindle.
How do I unlock new roads?
Each road on the Journey map opens when you walk far enough on the road before it. The map shows how far you have to go.
Where are Marigold's letters?
You find one torn page per run as you walk a road. Each road has three. Read them all in the Journal.
I bought No ads on another phone. How do I get it back?
Open your profile, go to Settings and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple or Google account you bought it with.
Does Lantern work offline?
Yes. You only need a connection for the optional revive ad, purchases and playing with a friend.
How do I delete my data?
Your progress is stored only on your phone. Tap Reset progress in Settings, or delete the app. For anything else, see the privacy policy or contact us.
Can I turn off sound or vibration?
Yes. Open your profile, then Settings. Sound, music and vibration each have their own switch.
Still stuck?
Email [contact email]. Tell us your phone model, your Lantern version (shown at the bottom of Settings) and what happened. If you can, copy your playtest log from Journal → Playtest into the email. We read every message and usually reply within two working days.
